Mr. Apoorva Saigal
Apoorva Saigal joined Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd in 2022 and heads the Corporate Communications function as well as their 2-Wheeler Marketing. He is responsible for the overall corporate communications strategy from the Piaggio India group besides driving the marketing efforts for the company’s iconic brands - Vespa and Aprilia, and positioning them in India to be equivalent to their iconic status in the world.
With over 15 years of experience, Apoorva has led the teams that have successfully launched products, conceptualised award-winning content, and conducted re-positioning exercises for brands across industries (FMCG, Auto, Consumer Durables, Telecom, Banking, Tourism, and Channels) in India. He has been awarded and recognised for deploying innovative marketing approaches in both traditional and e-commerce channels.
Apoorva started his career with Ogilvy&Mather in 2007, where he rose to be a Planning Director. He provided strategic direction for some of the biggest FMCG, Auto, Sports, and Banking clients and his work won more than half a dozen Effies.
He later moved to Bosch Home Appliances(BSH) where he was the Assistant General Manager, Marketing for Laundry Care and Refrigerator. He has been credited for crafting a product portfolio from inception by introducing India’s First Flexible Refrigerator. At BSH, he was the recipient of the CFO Recognition Award for driving top and bottom line growth consistently, besides receiving other accolades for his performance.
Apoorva holds an MBA in Marketing from Birmingham City University and has completed the management development program at SP Jain Institute of Management & Research.
In his free time, Apoorva likes to travel, watch documentaries, spend time with his family and read.
