Mr. Arvind Sharma

Board Member, Co-founder, Chief Strategy Officer, Sooorya EV

Sooorya EV has been in stealth mode since 2017, working on a ‘purpose-built’ EV for the ride-sharing segment in emerging markets. The challenge with electric fleet vehicles is charging downtime & TCO, which impacts commercial viability & profitability. After many years of market research in India, the ASEAN region & Africa, and vehicle development assisted by supplier’s, we have been able to develop a unique vehicle architecture of ‘Fixed + Swappable Batteries + solar roof’ to solve the issue of charging downtime, and increase vehicle efficiency. Sooorya EV has received enquiries for over 20,000 units from global markets, even before we have launched our vehicle in the market. Now, that we are confident of achieving a great PMF (Product Market Fit), Sooorya EV is embarking on the next stage of vehicle development, with detailed engineering / prototype production / testing / validation / certification & launch.

Sustainability beyond EV

As the global focus shifts toward electrification, it is essential to broaden the conversation on sustainability in mobility. While EVs play a pivotal role in reducing emissions, true sustainability requires addressing the entire ecosystem—battery recycling, renewable energy integration, circular economy principles, and eco-friendly manufacturing.

  • Battery Lifecycle Management
  • Renewable Energy Integration
  • Eco-Friendly Manufacturing
  • Shared and Multimodal Mobility
