Vimal Surrindernath Sumbly is the Head Business – Premium at TVS Motor Company.  Being a leader in the global motorcycle industry, Vimal comes with over 26 years of experience and has been instrumental in delivering milestone achievements across customer success, brand building and business growth throughout his career. In his current role, Vimal is leading the premium motorcycle business at TVS Motor Company, with key focus on TVS Apache series and the newly launched TVS RONIN in the modern-retro category.

Prior to joining TVS Motor Company, Vimal was associated with Royal Enfield as the Head - International Business (APAC region) and played a pivotal role in formulating and executing business strategies, leading business growth expansion, and driving talent management within the organisation. He has also worked with other leading two-wheeler brands including Triumph Motorcycles as their Managing Director, and Bajaj Auto Ltd. for over a decade, spearheading their west zone Sales and Marketing function for the two-wheeler segment. At the onset of his professional career, he has had stints in TII Murugappa Group and Bajaj Tempo Limited as well.

Vimal holds a Master's degree in Business Management (Marketing) and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical).

Apart from being an avid reader and cricket enthusiast, Vimal is an ardent fitness enthusiast. He equates his commitment to a morning run with the productivity that he brings to the corporate world as it is his avenue for destressing and gaining clarity. Having an athletic lifestyle since childhood, he picked onto his religious workout regime again since the past 4 years and has participated in multiple marathons in Pune ever since. Apart from running, Vimal is also a cyclist, and covers over 50 kms every week.
